Kalihi, O‘ahu
The mural is about what makes Kalihi Valley special. In the past, many akua (Hawaiian dieties) and ali‘i (royal chiefs) were born there. Currently, people of many races are born in Kalihi. The red ginger flower, which is not native to Kalihi, represents that beauty.
