Our Mele Murals Pa‘ina Pena (Community Painting Event) will be this week with Papa (Grade) 8 of Ka Waihona o ka Na‘auao public charter school in Nānākuli. This event is free and we welcome all ages of the community to help us paint the multipurpose building at Kalaniana‘ole Beach Park!

  • Free Community Painting Party Event
  • Date: Monday, Feb. 4th and Tuesday, Feb. 5th, 2019
  • Time: 8:30am – 2:30pm
  • Where: Kalaniana‘ole Beach Park,
  • Outside Wall of Multipurpose Room

This will be a community mural created through a collaborative effort between the Estria Foundation, Mana Mele, and Ka Waihona o ka Naʻauao, PCS. This mural is to celebrate the waiwai (wealth) of our wahi (place), Nānākuli and to honor the rich legacy of our kupuna. The mural is a medium to inspire our keiki, ʻohana, and kaiaulu, to embrace our culture, and to be proud of where we come from.
