Mele Murals is coming to Kona again during the month of July!
MOKU, the 1st Annual Mele Murals ʻAha, will be held at the Kona International Marketplace from July 11-15, 2016.
MOKU brings together Indigenous Artists, Cultural Practitioners, Community Leaders and Business Owners who collectively support and nurture the Mele Murals process of ‘Āina-Based, ‘Ike-Based and Naʻau-Based education.
Students 12-17 years of age can participate at no-charge but must register by calling (808) 638-4005 by Wednesday July 6th deadline.
On Tuesday, July 12th & Wednesday, July 13th, the Kona community is invited to join us for the FREE Pa‘ina Pena (Paint Party) from 11am – 3pm! Groups can reserve their 1-hour time blocks by calling (808) 638-4005 or emailing [email protected].
