Mahalo to all who have supported Mele Murals vision and our opio (youth)!  In this new year, we ask that you join our Membership Program by donating to this link. Your support and donations to the Estria Foundation allow us to develop and sustain our arts and education programming across the state of Hawaii.

In 2013, we set out to empower our youth and preserve our Hawaiian Culture through art. A goal we set for ourselves was to complete 20 Mele Murals across the state within a five year span.

We have completed 20 Mele Murals, on three islands, with over 2,000 students from public, charter, Hawaiian immersion, private schools, and the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Check out our documentation from our archived events on Flickr,Instagram, You Tube, and Issu.com!

Weʻre proud to announce the completion of the Mele Mural at Robert Louis Stevenson Middle School in Honolulu, Oahu. Check out the latest video here from Oiwi TV!

In addition, weʻre proud to announce the continuation of our afterschool program of Halau Paheona at Kaimuki High School for itʻs second year! Email [email protected] if your child is interested in attending.

The Estria Foundation and Mele Murals would like to wish you all a Happy New Year. Weʻre looking forward to completing more projects with Hawaii youth in the upcoming 2017!
