Ke Kula ʻo ʻEhunuikaimalino

Kailua-Kona, Hawai‘i

This was a short weekend trip to Kailua-Kona for Uncle Estria to paint with the haumāna of Ke Kula ʻo ʻEhunuikaimalino. After the grounding session, it was decided that a tree of life was to be depicted in the mural with the youthʻs kūpuna (ancestors) to be included as both portraits and their spirits in the constellation stars. The theme of “He Hawai’i Au Mau A Mau” connects to “We look to our kūpuna in their journey of enlightenment.”
