Summer 2025 Program

June through July

Aloha Mele Murals ʻOhana,
Registration is now open! We are accepting applications for our Mele Murals Summer Program for in-person classes. This Art and Hawaiian Culture program is available for students in 3rd-6th grade. This program is designed to engage keiki in a culture-focused arts curriculum perpetuating Hawaiian culture.

We have been intentional in choosing our theme and preparing for what’s to come for our Summer program. Our chosen theme is “Hānau” with an emphasis on the Kumulipo (the Hawaiian creation chant). The Kumulipo, holds immense cultural, spiritual, and historical significance for Kanaka Maoli. It is a sacred genealogical chant that traces the origins of the Hawaiian people, the land, and all living things back to the primordial darkness (pō), emphasizing the interconnectedness of all life. Composed in poetic and rhythmic form, the Kumulipo serves as a foundation for Hawaiian identity, reinforcing ancestral ties and the deep relationship between humans and nature.

More information can be found in the individual registration links that pertains to meals, transportation, cost, and so forth.
